[origin: EP1865746A2] The device (1) has a housing (10) e.g. storage box, with a test region (11) that is formed to receive a hearing aid (2) and includes microphone and hearing regions (111, 112). A noise generator and a loudspeaker (12) generate a defined acoustic testing signal e.g. noise, in the region (111). A microphone (13) in the hearing region detects an acoustic response signal delivered from the hearing aid. An evaluation circuit e.g. comparator, evaluates a functional condition of the hearing aid based on the response signal, and a display device (15) e.g. LCD display, displays the functional condition.
