[origin: WO2006097493A2] The invention relates to an absorbent moulded body, a method for production and use thereof, comprising micro- or meso-porous adsorbents. Said moulded bodies serve as process heat and refrigeration sources, whereby a vapour working medium is expelled from the moulded body by the introduction of heat energy and optionally condensed and the working medium, optionally previously vaporised, is absorbed in gaseous form. The moulded body comprises crystalline powder and/or granules together with a conducting surface (3) within a cage (2), connected to the surface and the powder and/or granules are bonded by the binder in the form of a random bed.
