Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2883775A1] The installation has a hand sprayer or spray gun (2) including a high voltage cascade (101) for generating a high voltage direct current for an electrostatic charge of a coating material. A valve (113) of the spray gun controls a flow of atomization air inside the spray gun in the direction of a spray head (24). A pressure sensor (200) detects a value representing the atomization air pressure downstream of the valve and delivers a signal for controlling a power supply to the cascade. An independent claim is also included for a method of controlling a power supply to a high voltage unit that is utilized for an electrostatic sprayer of a coating product and generates a high voltage direct current for the electrostatic charge of the product.
