[origin: WO2006103668A2] A method and apparatus performing high temperature fast pyrolysis of dry biomass are described. High yeild of gases with medium caloric value and low tar content are claimed. Passing electric current through the mixture of biomass with conductive particles in the stirred bed inside the reactor provides the intensive direct heating of the biomass in the pyrolytic reactor.
