[origin: DE102005015212A1] The sealing has an inner sealing ring (18) connected with a shaft, and a stationary outer sealing ring (20) partly surrounding the inner ring. A locking gas chamber is formed by the rings, and a sealing gas is inserted into the chamber through a supply channel (22). A seal gap (40) is arranged between the rings, and is connected with the gas chamber. A discharge opening (38) is connected with the chamber and a suction chamber (12).
