Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102006014621A1] The device has a transmitter (34) designed to transmit signals over plug pins (20) to a power socket (22) during insertion of a plug (18) into the plug socket, when the power socket is switched off, such that a switching operation is induced in an actuator (28). The actuator is arranged at the power socket or in an inner side of a terminal block (30) that is electrically connected with the power socket, where the power socket is switched-on by the actuator. The transmitter is arranged at an device-sided end of the connecting lead. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an attachment part for attaching a plug to a connecting lead of an electrical equipment (2) a method for switching a power socket.
