[origin: DE202006009323U1] A balcony has an upright safety barrier consisting of a metal frame (1) around a safety glass panel. The glass panel rests in an upright C-shaped extruded profile with an open part (2, 3) and a box part (5). The extruded profile further has a C-shaped open side profile (8) for a slide-fit tab (12) on an attachment plate (13) with an upright plate (7). Together the side plate and attachment plate form the support for the safety barrier.
