[origin: EP1868164A2] The method involves storing toll specific information of a mobile radio communication device (1) in a database of a computer unit (7). The transferred data is linked with the specific toll information, where the data is transmitted to a control unit of a supplier of a stationary and mobile component of toll controlling unit. A radio cell (2), particularly a micro cell or a pico cell (8) is assigned to each component of toll controlling unit. A location area code is provided for indicating the current position of the cell. The data exchange takes place between the vehicle and the cell. An independent claim is also included for a system for recording toll-requiring motor vehicles on toll-requiring traffic routes and for supplying information of the detected motor vehicles.
