Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006108375A1] The invention relates to a carriage, especially for transporting medical appliances in hospitals, said carriage comprising a carrier (2) for receiving a load to be transported, at least three, preferably four, rollers (5) arranged in a roller plane and comprising roller suspensions (6) on which the carrier (2) is supported, at least two of said roller suspensions (6) being respectively rotatable about a geometrical rotational axis (7) that extends perpendicularly to the roller plane, and an immobilising device (15) used to prevent the carriage (1) from rolling away. According to the invention, said immobilising device (15) comprises locking means (17) that are coupled to an actuating element (16) and are used to lock at least two of the rotatable roller suspensions (6) in different angular positions by actuation of the actuating element (16), in such a way that the rollers (5) fixed to the suspensions are oriented at different angles.
