[origin: WO2006108308A1] The invention relates to a grouping device (1) for processing a sequence of rapidly moving individual sheets, said grouping device having a plurality of conveying means for conveying the sheets and the sheets passing through at least one hand-over section and at least one conveying section. The conveying means comprise at least one transport device (10; 15; 16) and at least one extraction device (14). The invention is characterized in that the device comprises at least one grouping table (18; 19) and both the length of the hand-over section and of the stacking section can be adjusted and the transport device (10) acts upon the sheets only in the conveying section in order to prevent the sheets from smudging.
