Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006100395A1] The invention relates to a device for collecting rainwater and calories originating from solar radiation in order to drain the rainwater and to generate domestic hot water or heating water. The inventive device can be mounted at the base of a roof or on the edge of a balcony, said device consisting of an open channel (2) comprising longitudinal walls and lateral walls (7, 8). The invention is characterised in that a translucent or transparent cover element (3) is mounted inside the open channel (2) and is held in place by the aforementioned lateral walls (7, 8) such as to define an impervious closed chamber (2b) inside the open channel. The invention is also characterised in that a heat exchanger device (12), through which a heat-transfer fluid can flow, is mounted inside the closed chamber (2b). The invention is further characterised in that the translucent cover element (3), together with at least part of one longitudinal wall of the channel (2), defines a flow section for the rainwater.
