[origin: WO2006108200A1] The invention relates to a plastic ring (9) for removeably fixing a round shank chisel (1) in a chisel bush (6) in which the inner side of the chisel bush (6) has an annular groove (7) inside of which the plastic ring (9) engages that is accommodated in an elastic manner inside an annular groove (3) of the chisel shank (2). The plastic ring is provided with a slotted design and has at least one projecting rib projecting beyond the outer surface of the plastic ring (9) and extending over at least a portion of the circumference of the plastic ring (9). In order to achieve a good holding of the round shank chisel (1), the cross-section of the plastic ring (9) has a section (11), which can be inwardly pressed in the radial direction, is outwardly elastic, and which extends at least over a portion of the circumference of the plastic ring (9). This section (11) is, with regard to the other sections of the cross-section of the plastic ring (9), larger than the inside diameter (6') of the chisel bush (6) and can be pressed from an unstressed starting position with a specified outside diameter (12) into a fitting position having a smaller outside diameter that corresponds to the inside diameter (6') of the chisel bush (6) and can spring back into the unstressed starting position. The overall thickness (15) of the unstressed plastic ring (9) exceeds the depth (4) of the annular groove (3) of the chisel shank (2).
