[origin: WO2006106021A1] A fuel injection valve (1) which serves as injector for fuel injection systems of air-compressing, compression-ignition internal combustion engines has a valve housing (4). The valve housing (4) is composed of a first housing part (2) and a second housing part (3) which are connected to one another in a connecting region (60). In order to improve the strength of the connection in relation to the pressure of the fuel which prevails in an inner space (12), the housing wall (61) of the first housing part (2) is supported in the connecting region (60) on the housing wall (65) of the second housing part (3), and the housing wall (65) of the second housing part (3) is of reinforced design in the connecting region (60).
