Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006108615A1] The invention relates to a focusing system (11) for a device (1) for producing shock waves (2), said system being arranged downstream from the device and being able to orientate the shock waves. The aim of the invention is to administer the traction and pressure waves which are superimposed prior to be transversed by the reflected or bundled shock waves (2) by the focusing system (11). As a result, the focusing system (11) comprises a plurality of reflection mirrors (14), wherein, respectively, a secondary component (4) of the shock wave (2) is associated, the reflection mirrors (14) can be oriented towards the respective location, angle position and/or curving such that the components (3) of the shock wave (2), which are oriented towards said mirror, are reflected on different deviated focus points (15) and that all of the focus points (15) of the secondary components (4) are arranged on a common focus line (16).
