[origin: WO2006108765A1] The invention relates to a method for processing and transmission of data (VIDEO), in which image data of an image in the transmitter are provided at a first resolution level (QCIF, CIF) and at a second resolution level (CIF, 4CIF), higher than the first resolution level (QCIF, CIF). At least one interpolation parameter is fixed, for the determination (PREDICT) of image data of the second resolution level (CIF, 4CIF) from image data of the first resolution level (QCIF, CIF). At least some of the image data of the first (QCIF, CIF) and the second resolution levels (CIF, 4CIF) are transmitted, whereby the transmission of the image data of the second resolution level (CIF, 4CIF) depends on the at least one fixed interpolation parameter. Furthermore, a definition of the at least one fixed interpolation parameter is transmitted. The invention further relates to the corresponding receiver method and a transmitter (ENCODER) and receiver (DECODER) for carrying out the method.
