Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1870014A1] An endoscope insertion portion of the invention has a distal end portion, and includes first image pickup means for obtaining a normal light observation image; second image pickup means for obtaining a special light observation image; a first objective optical system for condensing first photographing light incident on the first image pickup means, the first objective optical system being located in the distal end portion; a second objective optical system for condensing second photographing light incident on the second image pickup means, the second objective optical system being located in the distal end portion; and a duct for spouting out liquid toward a diseased part in a body cavity, the duct having an aperture portion provided on the distal end portion, wherein the aperture portion of the duct is located at a position nearer to the second objective optical system than the first objective optical system, on the distal end portion. Thus is achieved an endoscope insertion portion that improves user operatability for spouting out liquid from an aperture portion of a forward water-feeding channel toward a desired diseased part.
