[origin: EP1870551A2] The device has a brake (17) arranged centrically to a motor shaft of a movable-wing-sided door drive. A mechanical transmission unit (18) works together with a operating device of the brake at its one end and with a wing sided door drive at its other end. The operating device is designed as a tilting unit (25) for releasing the brake, where the tilting unit is effectively connected with the brake, and releases the brake during operation by using the transmission unit independent of the operation direction.
