[origin: EP1870640A2] The military head (1) charged with a concave coating (2) applied against an explosive charge (3) disposed in an envelope (4) having a bottom, comprises an initiation unit, a cylindrical steel insert (7) disposed axially with respect to the coating, a rear containment block having a cylindrical external surface adjusted with an internal housing of the envelope, and an internal conical bore. The insert is intended to give a tubular profile to a core generated by the coating during the initiation of the explosive charge. The military head (1) charged with a concave coating (2) applied against an explosive charge (3) disposed in an envelope (4) having a bottom, comprises an initiation unit, a cylindrical steel insert (7) disposed axially with respect to the coating, a rear containment block having a cylindrical external surface adjusted with an internal housing of the envelope, and an internal conical bore. The insert is intended to give a tubular profile to a core generated by the coating during the initiation of the explosive charge, and completely extends the coating and penetrates inside the explosive charge. The insert comprises a conical rear portion located at a distance from the bottom of the envelope, where the distance is greater than or equal to a diameter of the insert. A conicity of the internal conical bore is same as the conical rear portion of the insert. A length of the insert is located outside of the charge, where the length is >=0.5 times a size of the charge. The conical rear portion of the insert penetrates inside the explosive charge.
