Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006040164A1] The invention relates a receptacle for meals, particularly for serving, preserving and transporting the meals with the essentially two receptacle parts, consisting of a lid part and of a bottom part, and with a sealing component for sealing at least one of the two receptacle parts, and relates to a corresponding method for locking the receptacle. A compensating device for compensating for position is placed between the sealing component and the lid part. When the compensating device is in a position of use, it can be deflected essentially in a vertical direction in order to adjust the position and/or the contact pressure of the sealing component with regard to the bottom part for compensating for and preventing leakages. When closing both receptacle parts, the compensating device, while being located in a position of use between the sealing component and the lid part, can be displaced essentially in a horizontal direction against the tension of the compensating device in order to, after the compensating device is deflected in the horizontal direction, releasably lock the lid part to the bottom part by means of a locking device.
