[origin: WO2006111629A1] The invention concerns a product metering device comprising a stationary frame, at least one barrel (6) mounted rotatable about an axis on the frame and comprising at least one metering chamber (8) having an axis (9) transverse to the axis of rotation of the barrel and emerging laterally outside the barrel, a delivery plunger (10) being mounted in the metering chamber to slide parallel to the axis of the chamber. The plunger is secured to a rack (11) meshing with a pinion (12) mounted on the barrel to pivot about an axis parallel to the axis of rotation of the barrel. Means driving the barrel in rotation are connected to the frame and the device comprises means for maintaining the plunger in a substantially constant position during the rotation of the barrel.
