[origin: EP1872944A2] The device has printing block cylinders (PZ) connected with a drive of a printing machine by a coupling (4), a drive wheel (5) at a plate cylinder shaft, and a gear wheel (6) during a printing operation, where the block cylinders are detachable from the drive. Each block cylinder is assigned to an inking system and a damping unit with a drive (M), which is decentralized independent of the printing machine drive. A dive wheel (1) at a drive shaft of an ink feed roller, a drive belt (2) and a drive wheel (3) at a plate cylinder are provided between the cylinders and the decentralized drives. An independent claim is also included for a method for implementing auxiliary processes with a device.
