[origin: EP1873099A1] The roller (1) has a set of roller bodies rotatably supported at a roller axis (2), so that the roller axis is fixed in a clamp bearing at both ends. A force transducer (13) measures the traction force of a strip material and is integrated in clamp bearings (7, 8). The clamp bearings have spring elastic bearing retainers, which stand in effective connection with the roller axis perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (5) of the roller axis. The spring-elastic bearing retainer is formed as force retainers.
