[origin: EP1873314A1] The method involves implementing a lower layer of an asphalt pavement by asphalt pavers (10, 12), and implementing an upper layer of the pavement by an asphalt paver (14). The pavers (10, 12) are driven with a transverse offset to the paver (14), and the offset is measured in such a manner that a feeder is driven in a traveling direction (16) with an offset laterally adjacent to the pavers (10, 12) and in front of the paver (14). The asphalt is conveyed from the feeder via placement planks (24, 26) of the respective pavers (10, 12) into an asphalt storage container (38) of the paver (14).
