[origin: EP1873399A1] The pump unit has a gas separation device for separating gas from fluid to be conveyed, where the gas separation device is arranged on a suction side. The gas separating device exhibits a plumping body (2) partially arranged in a suction sided flow way of the fluid and arranged on housing side with a distance to a suction mouth (8) of a pump. The plumping body is designed as fins, which are connected with a gas separating housing (4). A partition wall (7) is designed as a rotationally symmetric disk-shaped construction unit.
