[origin: EP1874092A2] The hearing aid (1) has a base (100) adjusting a fundamental function range of a model of the hearing aid to the hearing aid. A support unit (200) is pluggable into the base, where the support unit adjusts the additional function range to the hearing aid. The fundamental function range of the base and the additional function range of the support unit form the hearing aid, and the support unit and the base are provided on different performance levels and/or different function ranges.
