Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102005019089A1] Adsorption agent (A), preferably for absorption of protein and/or turbid materials in the protein liquid, comprises a semitic silicate layer, where the layer has: an abrasive auxiliary material (less than 0.2 wt .%) with a wet sieve residue of 25 mu m; a particle size of less than 12 mu m; a cationic exchange ability of at least 75mVal/100 g; and an ammonium ion of less than 4 meq/100 g. Independent claims are also included for: (1) preparation of (A); (2) a liquid, preferably drinks, whose protein content is removed by the above process; and (3) cleaning, purifying and/or stabilizing the liquids (preferably drinks) comprising contacting protein and/or turbid materials with (A); and removing the protein and turbid materials by ultrafiltration.
