[origin: WO2006117008A1] The invention relates to a method for obtaining a water and/or oil and/or gas and or solids-containing sample medium (27) from a borehole (8) by means of a sample removal device (1) above a drilling device (21) of a drill string (15), whereby during a drilling process, a flushing medium (9) is pumped towards the surface by the sample removal device (1) in an annular gap (11) between a borehole wall (12) of the borehole (8) and an outer wall (13) of a drill pipe (14) on the drill string (15). During a sample removal a sample medium (27) is taken by a sample removal unit (3) in the sample removal device (1) and pumped to the surface via the drill pipe (14), whilst the drill string (15) remains in the borehole (8) during sample removal. According to the invention, such a method may be improved so that it is possible to take a sample at any borehole depth in a simple manner without risk of a collapse of the borehole (8), whereby after sample removal the sample medium (27) remaining in the drill string (15) is essentially completely exchanged for flushing medium (9) before continuing with drilling.
