[origin: EP1876031A1] This is a new glue applicator for bookbinding machines comprising one or more tank(s) of glue with a base for connecting it to the bookbinding machine, one or more delivery cylinder(s) with on/off mechanisms for controlling the flow of glue, one or more pair(s) of guides for the volume being bound, installed on the delivery cylinders, and two or more components for applying the glue. There is a glue flow on/off mechanism on or in each of said delivery cylinders. The components for applying the glue preferably consist of a slot in the top of a delivery cylinder and holes or openings (nozzles) in the vertical side of each guide facing the opposite guide.
