Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006114156A2] The invention relates to a device and to a method for managing, archiving and/or evaluating blood pressure data of a plurality of patients. Blood pressure data of various patients, which is determined by various sphygmomanometers, can be transmitted to a central data server by means of remote data transmission from network terminals, where they are stored in individual patient storage spaces. An access code is requested by an access control device when at attempt is made to access the data server and is compared to an access code which is specific to the respective storage space. An individual device identification code of the sphygmomanometer and/or a chip card identification code of a chip card inserted therein are used as an access code. A charge machine enables a fee storage device, which is provided with the respective storage space, to be automatically reduced for each access to the provided data.
