[origin: WO2006117172A2] Disclosed is a device for adjusting the position and/or size of a pin hole in a laser scanning microscope (LSM). According to the invention, the pin hole is illuminated via a separate light source or the LSM laser, and the pin hole is displaced perpendicular to the optical axis until a maximum intensity is provided on a receiver, and the pin hole position is detected and is stored along with data pertaining to removable optical components.
