[origin: DE102006032363B3] Device for crimping a contact element on a wire comprises a blocking unit (8) for suppressing the relative shifting of tool halves (1.1) in relation to the connecting link (3). The blocking unit is formed by recesses (9) of a tool holder or eccentric shaft (6) and by a pin or cam which is axially displaced in the connecting link parallel to the longitudinal direction. The cam or pin interacts with one of the recesses.
