The device has a number of crimping tools (1), which is supportable in a magazine, where the crimping tools are conveyed alternatively into a crimping press (3). A transportation unit is provided for conveying respective crimping tool from the magazine into the respective crimping press. The transportation unit includes an industrial robot or a handling device that comprises a guide (2.1) for the respective crimping tool.
