Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007121712A1] The invention relates to an electrical connection element, for example for a lampholder, for connecting, without the use of screws, at least one electrical conductor, which has been provided with an insulating sheathing, to at least one electrical contact, comprising an insulating housing having an insertion channel for the electrical conductor and a connecting clamp, which is arranged downstream of the insertion channel in the insertion direction, holds the electrical conductor in the connection element counter to its insertion direction and serves the purpose of electrically connecting it, and having at least one clamping element, which is arranged in the insertion channel and acts on the insulating sheathing. The object of the invention is to provide an electrical connection element which holds the electrical conductor securely in the connection element. The object is achieved by an electrical connection element whereby the clamping element is in the form of a clamping rib, which is oriented in the insertion direction and engages axially in the insulating sheathing.
