[origin: EP1880857A2] An address printer or franking machine has an interchangeable ink cartridge located in a socket. The socket has levers that disengage the printer module withdrawal and contact release. These levers are so located that initiation of the withdrawal simultaneously disengages the contacts. The socket further incorporates an ink wiper.
