The box (1) for replacement lamps has at least one insert component (7-10,12) which is constructed in such a way that a cap of a lamp (11) which is to be held by the insert component is visible. The lamp is a main headlight lamp, and the insert component is designed to hold two main headlight lamps. The lamp is held in the insert component in the horizontal position. At least two insert components may be located in the box and be arranged side by side or one above the other.
