Abstract (en)
The device (10) has a light guiding plate (12) with a coupling area shaped such that light rays emitted by a light source (28) e.g. side emitter LED, are propagated at the area. The plate is shaped such that the rays are propagated in meridian incident propagation planes normal to the plate between the source and a rear reflecting edge and in reflected propagation planes normal to the plate between the edge and an output edge (18). The rear edge is shaped such that the reflected planes have an orientation with respect to an optical axis to allow the device to emit a linear light beam.

L'invention concerne un dispositif (10) d'éclairage ou de signalisation pour véhicule automobile qui est susceptible d'émettre un faisceau linéaire (F) selon la direction d'un axe optique (A), et qui comporte : - une source lumineuse ponctuelle (28) qui émet des rayons lumineux radialement autour d'un axe de source (S) ; - une nappe de guidage (12) des rayons lumineux qui comporte une tranche avant (18) de sortie des rayons lumineux tangentiellement à la nappe de guidage (12), et une tranche arrière de réflexion (20) des rayons lumineux issus de la source lumineuse (28) en direction de la tranche de sortie (18) ; caractérisé en ce que la nappe de guidage (12) est conformée de manière que les rayons lumineux se propagent dans des plans de propagation incidents (Mi) normaux à la nappe (12) entre la source lumineuse (28) et la tranche de réflexion (20) et dans des plan de propagation réfléchis (Mr) normaux à la nappe (12) entre la tranche de réflexion (20) et la tranche de sortie (18).
