Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006122571A1] The invention relates to a motor-driven or battery-powered machine-tool, in particular a hand machine-tool, such as a drill, a percussion drill, a hammer drill or a screwdriver. Said machine-tool comprises a machine casing, a driving motor, a spindle (2) which can be driven by the driving motor, whereby a locking/releasing device is provided between the driving motor and the spindle (2), which comprises a motor-sided driving element, a spindle-sided driven element (4), rotationally fixed to or integrally joined to said spindle (2) and at least one clamping body (6), and said machine-tool comprises a chuck for clamping a tool, which can be connected to the spindle (2), whereby said spindle (2) can be locked in relation to the machine casing (12) by application of a torque, acting from the chuck in the direction of the driving motor and can rotate freely in relation to the machine casing (12) by application of a torque, acting from the driving motor in the direction of the spindle (2). In order to make said machine-tool more convenient to operate, the clamping body (6) abuts against a component (8) during locking of the spindle (2), which is connected to the machine casing (2) through a damping means (18) with limited deformation.
