[origin: WO2006119834A1] A spinning rotor (1) for an open-end rotor spinning machine has a rotor shaft (2), a rotor disk (3) with an opening (4), an inner chamber (5), a rotor groove (6), a conically tapering slide wall (7) which extends from the opening (4) to the rotor groove (6), and a rotor base (9) facing the opening (4) and provided with a bore (8) through which the rotor shaft (2) extends at least partially. The rotor shaft (2) is linked to the rotor disk (3) by a connection element (10), and the rotor shaft (2) and rotor disk (3) comprise a common rotational axis (13). According to the invention, the rotor shaft (2) and the rotor disk (3) include connection means (11, 12) that are at least partially surrounded by the connection element (10) designed as a cast part, thus achieving an interlocking connection between the rotor shaft (2) and the rotor disk (3).
