[origin: WO2006122847A1] The invention relates to a device and a method for simultaneously printing on both faces of a recording medium (12). The device comprises a revolving first toner image support (78) and a revolving second toner image support (78'), means (80) for producing a first toner image, consisting of a toner that is charged with a first polarity, on the first toner image support (78), and means (80') for producing a second toner image, consisting of a toner that is likewise charged with the first polarity, on the second toner image support (78'). The device also comprises a charge shifting device (108) adapted to charge the first toner image present on the first toner image support (78) with a second polarity opposite the first polarity, and a recharging device (114) adapted to recharge the second toner image present on the second toner image support (78') with the first polarity.
