[origin: EP1882587A2] The printing machine has a storage unit (17) comprises multiple memory cells (18a,18b,18c,18d,18e,18f ) for form cylinder (14). The form cylinder of each printer unit (10) is transported automatically between a print work (12) of the printer unit and a memory cell of the storage unit by a transport device. The form cylinder is transported automatically in storage unit between the different memory cells, where a memory cell is assigned to an imaging device (21) to illustrate an illustrating and quenchable printing plate that is positioned on the form cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a method for operation of a printing machine.
