[origin: EP1882793A2] The element (1) has a part (1a) for supporting an already fixed plate (5) at a substructure (10), and another part (1b) for temporary holding the plate to be mounted, particularly a longitudinal edge. The fit up aid element is separated under loss of supporting function. The fit up aid element has a predetermined braking point (7). The later part is designed as u-shape and a recess (6) is defined for gripping attachment at an edge (5a) of a plate. The later part consists adjacent clamping journal (2b) of a L-shaped clamp (3). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) plate fixing arrangement at a substructure using a fit up aid element (2) a method for fixing a plate particularly a gypsum plasterboard and gypsum fiber board at a substructure.
