Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006122762A2] The invention relates to a printing cylinder (1) which comprises a printing roller core (2), a support layer (3) from a fabric material and artificial resin arranged on the printing roller core (2), and an elastomer layer (6) arranged on the support layer (3). The invention also relates to a method for producing a printing cylinder. The inventive method is characterized by winding the supporting layer (3) directly onto the peripheral surface (11) of the printing roller core (2). The elastomer layer (6) is applied to the support layer (3) and the support layer (3) and the elastomer layer (6) are joined directly on the printing roller core (2) by energy supply, such as a heat treatment.
