[origin: EP1884182A2] A modular flooring system (10) comprises a plurality of interconnected wiper units (12) one or more of which comprises a base (14) with integral formations (16, 18) movable through a generally pivotal action between a position that allows wiper material (20) to be selectively removed and placed on the base (14) and a clamping position in which the formation retains wiper material (20) on the base (14). The invention also provides a method of manufacturing and modular flooring system, a wiper unit and component as such modular flooring system.
