[origin: EP1884315A1] The tool (8) is made of a working material with a working surface (10), which is curved in section wise, where the working surface is circular and formed radially inwards in a convex manner. Profile of the working surface is mirror-symmetrical and curved, where the profile of the working surface is adjusted in section wise to a profile of a ball bearing surface (6). The working material is disposed to a circular retaining body (12). The working material and the retaining body are undetachably connected with each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a workpiece i.e. ball roll spindle (2) a ball roll spindle provided for a steering gear of a motor vehicle.
