[origin: EP1884582A1] A sieve (10) for the production of a non-woven fleece which is integrated by gas or fluid action on the sieve upper surface (11). The sieve has numerous apertures (14) linking the upper surface with the lower surface (12). The upper surface also has a number of detents (16) that together form the desired pattern. The cross section of the apertures remains uniform from top to bottom or diverges. The detents are of uniform depth and are no deeper than one third of the sieve depth. The diverging holes subtend an angle of about 20 degrees with the centerline and are circular.
