Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2885362A1] The sizing compound contains the following constituents in weight per cent: 10 - 99 per cent of at least one copolymer selected from ethylene vinyl acetate, acrylic and methacrylic acid copolymers; 1 to 40 per cent of at least one coupling agent; and 0 - 90 per cent of polypropylene grafted with a motif from at least one monomer having one or more functions that can react with the coupling agent. The copolymer has an ethylene content of at least 50 per cent and preferably 80 per cent by weight, and has a preferable melting point below 110 degrees C. The coupling agent is a silane and preferably an aminosilane, a siloxane, titanate, zirconate or a mixture of these.
