[origin: US2009183531A1] The invention relates to washing drum shell formed by a final sheet metal strip which is coiled in the form of a cylinder and whose ends are welded to one another. The longitudinal sides thereof are connected to a bottom disc by a high-flange joint provided with transversal embossments. The high flange joint is sufficiently stable even when the carriers of the washing drum are drawn into the shell. The drawn-in carriers are connected by at least one fold to openings shaped in at least one bottom disc and the transversal embossments of the high flange joint are shaped in an area which is arranged directly near a connection between the drawn-in carriers and the bottom disc.
