The sack (1) is preferably closed at one end and has venting openings (3) at the opposite end that can be closed after the filling process, whereby at least the edge regions bounding on the fill opening have one or more corner weld seams (5-8) and there is at least one fill opening. At least one corner or several corners, preferably all four corners, has or have at least one corner weld seam as a weld seam arrangement forming a venting channel.

Beschrieben wird ein Seitenfalten-Sack (1) aus einem schweißfähigen Material, der vorzugsweise an einem Ende geschlossen ist und bei dem das gegenüberliegende Ende eine nach dem Füllvorgang verschließbare Einfüllöffnung aufweist, wobei zumindest die an die Einfüllöffnung angrenzenden Randbereiche mit wenigstens einer oder mehreren Eckschweißnähten versehen sind, und der wenigstens eine Entlüftungsöffnung (3) aufweist, wobei zumindest eine Ecke oder mehrere Ecken, vorzugsweise alle vier Ecken des Seitenfalten-Sackes (1), mit jeweils wenigstens einer Eckschweißnaht (5 bis 8) versehen ist bzw. sind, die als eine einen Entlüftungskanal bildende Schweißnahtanordnung ausgebildet ist/sind.
