Abstract (en)
The device has a retaining device (4) movable from a resting position into a locking position by a release mechanism (7) in dependence on occurrence of a mass flow. The release mechanism is controllable by a detection device (13) for the mass flow, where the detection device is arranged at a distance above the retaining device. The detection device comprises a collection device (14) for a partial mass of the mass flow. The collection device is movably supported in a flow direction of the mass flow, and is drivably connected with the release mechanism.

Es wird eine Vorrichtung zum Schutz vor von einer höher gelegenen Stelle abgleitenden Massen, insbesondere vor Lawinen oder Muren, mit einer im Weg des Massenstroms vorgesehenen Rückhalteeinrichtung (4) beschrieben, die mit Hilfe einer Auslöseeinrichtung (7) in Abhängigkeit vom Auftreten eines entsprechenden Massenstroms aus einer Ruhestellung in eine Sperrstellung verlagerbar ist. Um vorteilhafte Schutzbedingungen zu schaffen wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Auslöseeinrichtung (7) durch eine mit Abstand oberhalb der Rückhalteeinrichtung (4) angeordnete Erfassungseinrichtung (13) für einen Massenstrom ansteuerbar ist.
