Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1887213A2] An automotive fuel injector has a valve (3) with a jet outlet (13) that is opened and closed by a piston (27). The piston and valve are linked by a regulator chamber (23) limited on one side by the valve end-face (21) and at the other by the lower face (25) of the piston (27). The piston acts as the valve piston for a regulator valve (33) linking the chamber (27) with the low-pressure zone in a fuel-return tube (63).
